Vladimir Polyakov

Vladimir Polyakov (Russian: Владимир Поляков, English transcription Vladimir Polyakov, . Born April 17, 1960) is a former Soviet athlete.

At the Track European Indoor Championships pole vaulter in 1980 won silver in Sindelfingen and was founded in 1981 in Grenoble seventh. On 26 June 1981, he presented with a world record 5.81 m, and shortly after he won a silver medal at the Universiade in Bucharest. A silver medal at the European Athletics Championships 1982 in Athens followed by gold at the European Indoor Championships 1983 in Budapest. At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki he finished tenth. In 1981 he became Soviet Indoor Champion 1983 Soviet masters.
