Vlastimil Palička

Vlastimil Palička ( born July 23, 1954 in Olomouc ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Palička played in his youth for Sigma Lutín, his two-year military service, he graduated at Dukla Brno and Hradec Králové VTJ. At 22, the midfielder joined the then third division club Sigma Olomouc and took them up to the 2nd league. He was engaged by Škoda Plzeň, for which he graduated in two and a half Erstligaeinsätze 51 years in which he scored four goals.

In early 1980 moved Palička in the second league to TJ TŽ Třinec, after two years he returned to Olomouc, who played meanwhile in the first Czechoslovak League, 1982/83 but could not hold the class. It succeeded the immediate resurgence. For Sigma Palička denied a total of 39 top-flight appearances, while he managed a hit. In the summer of 1986 he moved to agro Drnovice and began to work at the same time as a youth coach at Sigma Olomouc. His playing career, he finished after the 1988/89 season with Spartak Hulin.

Coaching career

From 1986 to 1993 Palička worked at youth level from Sigma Olomouc. In the 1993/94 season he was an assistant coach at the professional team. In the following year he coached TJ TŽ Třinec from 1995 to 1997, the B- team of Sigma Olomouc. Then he was again an assistant coach at the Erstligamannschaft for two years. From 1999 to 2001 he coached the second division club Banik Ratíškovice, with whom he reached the Czech Cup final in 1999/ 00. There, the team defeated Slovan Liberec 1-2.

His first stop was in the Gambrinus League 2001-2003 of FK Jablonec 97 With Jablonec Palička reached in 2002/ 03 the cup final, defeated his team FK Teplice but with 0:1. After just one win from their first eleven games of the season 2003/ 04 he was replaced by Petr Rada.

For the season 2004 /05 took Palička FC Tescoma Zlín, but was released the end of October after a 1:3 defeat at the 1 FC Slovácka lack of success. He joined a short time later to SFC Opava, whose coach Pavel Hapal had taken his place in Zlín. The default relegation could not fulfill Palička in Opava.

In July 2006, Palička coach at Sigma Olomouc, where he had previously been player, youth coach, assistant coach and coach of the B team. A point from their first four games was the club's management too little, which then separated from Palička.

He was coach of the 2006 Slovak first division club FK AS Trenčín, he led the league in October. The collaboration was yet finished after the entry of Dutch investors in the club.

Beginning of September took over Palička as coach at FC Vitkovice.
