Vollmarshausen is a district of the municipality of Lochmaben in the Kassel district in northern Hesse and the oldest settlement in Söhreraum. To date, the townscape is dominated by historic half-timbered houses. Due to the location of Wahle stream flows.

History

The area around Vollmarshausen was in the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age (about 1200 to 650 BC ) settled as the burial site discovered in 1951 by Vollmarshausen occupied. It is one of the most important finds from this period in Western Europe.

Townscape
