Volodymyr Bileka

Volodymyr Bileka (Ukrainian Володимир Білека; born February 6, 1979 in Drohobytsch ) is a former Ukrainian cyclist. As a junior he won in 1997, the mountain jersey at the Trofeo Karlberg.

From 2005 to 2007 he was with the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team under contract, before he went for Landbouwkrediet - Colnago (2003 to 2004). The Ukrainian is considered typical water carrier. In the middle of the 2008 season, announced Bileka personal reasons his contract with Silence-Lotto and since then no more professional cyclist. At the end was clear what was behind the unusual behavior of the Ukrainian: Bileka was tested in April at a training control positive effect on the blood doping agent EPO. Therefore, he has been banned from the International Cycling Union UCI for two years.
