From Bullerbü to Babylon is the second album of the German pop duo Foyer des Arts. It was released in 1982 on WEA Records. The album was recorded in March 1982 in "Studio 54" in Berlin on Hohenzollern Damm.

History

After the underground success of " A queen with wheels down to it " (1981) Foyer des Arts of wind turbines have been contracted. From the album two singles were released, " know about Erlangen " and " Trends / helicopter use ." "About ... " was the only real hit from the foyer of the Arts and reached number 36 in the German charts.

Since the album was out of print for a long time, the album was re-released with a slightly different track list (see below) in the summer of 2003. Max Goldt wrote in the booklet of the 2003 version on the original album: " His release [ ... ] were unpleasant compromises between the artists and the record label preceded, so I was never satisfied with the product - and onset of his a few months after the release and twenty years -long inability to deliver correspondingly little unhappy. "This CD cover was completely changed. It was painted by Stephen Katz, collaborates with the Max Goldt already longer than Comicduo Katz Philosophy.

The radio show " From Bullerbü to Babylon ", moderated by Jan Moeller on the transmitter ByteFM, named after this album.

Thus, in the new version of the song Little Girls, Family and beat music and the Beautiful colorful missing. These songs have been replaced by songs of Noisy Village to Babylon, Comment and Create and One from the theater / from war. Comment and Create was tuned down a queen with wheels, the B-side of the single. One of the theater / the war was the B-side of knowledge about Erlangen.
