Vorderwald Cattle

The Vorderwälder beef or even just called Vorderwälder is an old domestic cattle breed, which originates from the Southern Black Forest ( Southern Germany ). She's just like the backwoods cattle adapted to the conditions there excellent.

The front forests of cattle is a dual-purpose breed with approximately the same emphasis on meat and milk.

The milk yield is 5000 kg, with 4.0% fat and 3.65 % protein. The daily gain of young bulls is in feedlots at 1100 g

Animals of this breed are considered particularly vital and durable. They are characterized by clear, good foundations with good angulation and very good claws. This enables them to be used as Beweider of extreme locations such as slopes.

The withers of the cows is about 128-135 cm and they are up to 600 kg. The cops have a height at the withers of about 145 cm and they are up to 1000 kg.

The so-called "Forests cattle" was first mentioned in 1544. Even back then ( today's front forests ) and a smaller racial distinction ( today's backwoods ) between a larger breed. By cross-breeding of dairy stressed breeds ( Red Holstein, Montbeliard ) milk yield and udder shape could be significantly improved. The breeding population now comprises about 42,000 animals with 15,000 cows, 47 percent of the cows are artificially inseminated.
