Geography

The river originates approximately 2.5 km west of Westerkappeln within the scattered settlement Metten at an altitude of 82 m above sea level. NN. It flows primarily in a northwesterly direction and flows approximately 2 km east of Mettingen in the Stoll stream and thus into the speller Aa. With a height difference of 23 m, the average bed slope of 11 ‰. The catchment area is drained by Speller Aa, Aa Large and Ems to the North Sea.
