Vreni Inäbnit

Vreni Inäbnit ( born March 31, 1948 in Grindelwald) is a former Swiss ski racer. It achieved two top 10 finishes in the World Cup, took part in the Winter Olympics in 1968 and was two -time Swiss champion in the downhill.

Career

Inäbnit 1967 Swiss Junior Champion in slalom and in the combination. The next winter she was admitted to the Swiss national team, of which she was until 1971. Inäbnit participated in the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble, where she scored a 17th in slalom, 18th in the downhill and 19th in the giant slalom standings in midfield.

A month after the games won Inäbnit their first points in the World Cup, as they drove to fifth place on 15 March 1968 in the departure of Aspen. This was also her best World Cup result. However, two days later she suffered in a fall in the giant slalom knee injuries, which led to a surgery by itself.
