Valley of Vsetínská Bečva near the confluence of the Bystřička

The Vsetínská Bečva ( German Upper Bečva, formerly Czech Horni Bečva ) is the left frontal flow of Bečva in the Czech Republic.

It rises 910 meters above sea level. NN between the Čarták ( 952 m ) and the Beskydek ( 953 m ) on the border with Slovakia at the hamlet Uzgrúň between the mountains and the Wsetiner Javorníky. Are the villages Leskové, Velké Karlovice, Karolinka, Nový Hrozenkov, Halenkov, Huslenky, Hovězí, Janová and Ústí u Vsetína along its course to the southwest. Here opens with a Senice the largest inflow. The Valley of Vsetínská Bečva upper reaches forms the natural boundary between the Javorníky in the south and the Vsetínské Hills in the north.

The Vsetínská Bečva then flows northward over Vsetín, Jablůnka, Pržno u Vsetína, Bystřička, Jarcová and Podlesí after Valašské Meziříčí where they united after 58.8 kilometers with the Rožnovská Bečva.
