Vuelta a Guatemala

The Vuelta a Guatemala ( Guatemala German tour) is a Guatemalan road cycling.

The race was held in 1957 for the first time since then and finds every year in the autumn. Promoted by the Federacion Nacional de Ciclismo de Guatemala, the Guatemalan Cycling Federation. Since 2005, one of the stage race for the UCI America Tour and is classified in category 2.2. Record winner are Cuque Aureliano, José Patrocinio Jiménez and Edin Roberto Nova, who could each decide for the race twice.

The winner of the match in 2004, Lizandro Ajcú, was disqualified because of doping. It was the biggest doping case in the history of the race. Nine drivers were tested positive, including the first four overall. Also, the 2009 winner Nery Velásquez tested positive and disqualified.
