VueScan

VueScan is a software for scanning and raw - image processing, which is being developed since 1999 by Ed Hamrick.

Versions

VueScan is available in two editions (Standard and Professional) at different prices. Both versions are included in the same file, with an unlock code determines the edition. Without activation code VueScan runs in demo mode; this corresponds in the Professional Edition, and differs from it only in that the generated images have embedded a watermark.

Supported Hardware

Both editions support more than 2100 scanners and cameras from 35 different manufacturers, including models for which there is on current operating systems no executable software manufacturers more. The Linux version also supports some models, for which there is no, or no full-featured free driver for Linux. Partially used VueScan own drivers (eg for Nikon Coolscan series), some drivers from the scanner manufacturers. In the latter case, these scanners are supported only on the operating systems that support the manufacturer of the drive.

  • Multiple scans to reduce noise (even with scanners that do not allow multiple read-out )
