Vyacheslav Chanov

Vyacheslav Viktorovich Tschanow (Russian Вячеслав Викторович Чанов; born October 23, 1951 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR ) is a former Soviet and Russian football goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach.

Vyacheslav Tschanow began his career as a goalkeeper in the youth teams of FC Shakhtar Donetsk. His father Viktor was goalkeeper in the first team of Shakhtar and his younger brother Victor should also be an outstanding goalkeeper. As of the 1969 season, he played for the first team of Shakhtar, without, however, becoming a regular player. At the start of the 1979 season changed Tschanow to Torpedo Moscow. With this team, he experienced his most successful period, 1981, he was elected to the Soviet goalkeeper and goalkeeper of the year. 1982 was Tschanow with torpedo in the final of the Soviet Cup competition, the final game against Dynamo Kyiv, however, was lost with 0:1. After 177 appearances for Torpedo Moscow he transferred in 1985 to Neftchi Baku and 1987 to CSKA Moscow.

Tschanow denied in 1983, five auditions for the Soviet Olympic team. He took part in the 1982 World Cup in Spain, without, however, come at this tournament to use one. His only match for the Soviet national team, he played on March 28, 1984 in Hanover against the German national team.

From 1988 Tschanow was stationed as a member of the Soviet Army in East Germany and played in the Soviet Army Sports Club of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany. In 1990 he moved to FSV Optik Rathenow and played until 1993 for this club. Since 1995 Tschanow has worked as a goalkeeper coach for CSKA Moscow
