Vytautas Sakalauskas

Vytautas Vytautowitsch Sakalauskas ( born April 24, 1933, Kaunas, Vilnius † 29 May 2001 ) was a sowjetlitauischer politician, member of the Communist Party of Lithuania ( Lietuvos Komunistų Partija ) and former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Lithuanian SSR.

On January 18, 1985, he was the successor of Ringaudas Bronislovas Songaila Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Lithuanian SSR. This office he retained until the declaration of Lithuanian independence from the USSR on 17 March 1990. 1990 to 1992 he was at the Soviet Embassy in Mozambique operates.
