The Wachbühl is 791 m above sea level. NN high vantage point in space stem Bad Wurzach in the district of Ravensburg.

Location and geography

The Wachbühl is the highest elevation in the area stem Bad Wurzach, the Zeiler gravel field and the former top official Leutkirch. The viewpoint is located on the boundary of Seibranz and granted on a clear day with an overview of the entire chain of the Alps, Allgäu foothills and Upper Swabia.

To the north you have a good overview on the heavily wooded Marstetter gravel plain, Danube Valley and Swabian Alb. All the rivers that arise in the field Wachbühl flow north, are so drained by the Danube river system. Nearby is the Vontobel like hell hole. At least once a year is celebrated on the Wachbühl a mountain mass or a mountain worship.

Five kilometers southwest of the glacial terminal moraine, at 745 meters above sea level, the residence of the royal family and former owner of the Reichserbtruchsessenamtes the Holy Roman Empire of Waldburg- Zeil, Zeil castle. The palace complex is located on the boundary of Reichenhofen and thus belongs to the city Leutkirch in the Allgäu.
