The community association Guard home on the wine route is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Bad Durkheim in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality is composed of the City Guard home on the wine route and three independent local communities, the administrative headquarters is located in the eponymous city guard home on the wine route. The administrative territory of the municipality lies on the German Wine Route.

The Association of Municipal Guard home on the Wine Route consists of 28 volunteer council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the full-time mayor as chairman.

Mayor of the municipality since 1 May 2007 Udo Berger Kittel (independent). It is the successor of Klaus Huter (SPD).

Economy and infrastructure

There are a number of medium-sized companies, such as electric plants Wachenheim, but all places are very much defined also by wine and fruit growing.
