The Wachthubel [( də ) ʋ̥ɑxthʊb̥u ] is the main peak of the upper rock face in the eastern Bernese Alps. It encounter there the three municipalities and Schangnau Eggiwil in the upper Emmental and Escholzmatt - Marbach together in Entlebuch.

The top of treeless summit offers a beautiful panoramic view of the hills of the Emmental and the chains of Hohgant and Schrattenfluh. It was the site of a 1782 testified Hochwacht what also her present name indicates; this is a composition with the widespread mainly still in the western German Switzerland ( however in Entlebucher names rare ) words Hubel, survey ' as a background element.
