Wade Legge

Wade Legge ( born February 4, 1934 in Huntington, West Virginia; † August 15, 1963 in Buffalo, New York) is an American jazz pianist.

Wade Legge became a professional musician at age fourteen and had a duo with bassist Lou Hackney. 1951 Milt Jackson recommended him to Dizzy Gillespie, where he was from 1952 to 1955 and committed to him in 1953 Europe ( Paris) visited. Then Legge worked for several years freelance in New York, including at Johnny Richards, took plates with Pete Brown, Jimmy Cleveland, Charles Mingus, Joe Roland and Sonny Rollins, as well as under his own name in Europe ( 1953) on. From him comes Cool Breeze (1947).
