The carriage bolt Sundays is a 959 m high rock barrier in a small, subordinate ridge of the Bavarian Forest near the towns Rinchnach, Kirchdorf im Wald and Frauenau.

On the rocky peaks are frequently visited a small chapel, a cross on the summit and a couple of rest benches. The view is toward the south and west to near Gsengetstein and Rinchnach. Several marked trails lead to the summit, for example, of Kohlau, Zimmerau, Frauenau, Althütte, Klingenbrunn or Waldhaus. The carriage bolt Sundays can also be reached by bicycle.
