Waldemar Andzel

Waldemar Franciszek Andzel ( born September 17, 1971 in Czeladź ) is a Polish politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Election period.

In 1996 he finished his studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice with specialization in social policy. In 1999, he completed a postgraduate course at the same university in the professional organization of social assistance. He worked in a municipal center for social assistance.

In 1989 he joined the Chrześcijańsko - Demokratyczne Stronnictwo Pracy (Christian- Democratic Labor Party - ChDSP ), and in 1990 he became a member of the party Porozumienie Centrum ( center - agreement - PC). He served on the board of the party for the Woiwodschaftsverband. He then joined the Porozumienie Polskich Chrześcijańskich Demokratów ( understanding of the Polish Christian Democrats ), and finally into the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS). He became a district representative of the PiS in Będzin and then Chairman of the Regional Council of the PiS in Sosnowiec and member of the regional management of Katowice. From 1998 to 2002 he was County Council of powiat Będziński.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was elected for the constituency of Sosnowiec on ​​the list of PiS with 4,257 votes in the Sejm. He was elected at the 2007 parliamentary elections with 10,121 votes again. He is vice chairman of the Tibet - Parliamentary Group and a member of Sejmkommissionen for defense and social policy.
