Waldemar von Wasielewski

Waldemar von Wasielewski ( born December 10, 1875 in Bonn, † February 28, 1959 in Special Hausen ) was a German writer with a focus on occultism, Goethe research and music history.

Life

Waldemar von Wasielewski was born on December 10, 1875, the son of the Royal. Music director and music historian Wilhelm Joseph von Wasielewski (1822-1896) was born in Bonn. After studying natural sciences, literature, history, art history and philosophy at the universities of Bonn and Berlin, he received his doctorate in 1899, Dr. phil. specialist botany. Subsequently, he completed his habilitation at the University of Rostock (private lecturer 1899-1905 ).

In his work as a freelance writer, he devoted himself alongside musical and historical subjects the Goethe- research and especially the occult. 1909 a volume of poems by him was at Piper, Munich, published.

His first encounters with the occult is to be dated to the year 1912. This is primarily the reading of the book The Survival of Man to name of Sir Oliver Lodge (1851-1940), is reported in the phenomena of psychic transmission ( telepathy ). In its earliest publication on this topic What should anyone know of Occultism (1915 ) Waldemar tried Wasielewski the scientific restoration of occult phenomena.

In 1916 he married Maria of Bloedau ( 1883-1963 ), whose mental ability have broadcasts with causes him to deepen his telepathic studies.

As a result of this need to interpret occult phenomena scientifically or even to prove, is to be regarded by Wasielewskis main plant telepathy and clairvoyance. This is tested using strict scientific experimental setups, especially with his future wife Mary of Bloedau telepathic abilities critical. These were confirmed by the doctor and parapsychologist Rudolf Tischner (1879-1961), who attended the experiments in part.

A correspondence between Rainer Maria Rilke and Waldemar von Wasielewski came as a response to the poet's reading of telepathy and clairvoyance shortly after the completion of his Duino Elegies.

Waldemar von Wasielewski died on 28 February 1959 in Sondershausen.
