Waldrada

Walderada (* 530) was the daughter of the king of the Lombards, Wacho. She grew up in Hungary, and married about the year 554 the Frankish king Theudebald. When he died in 555 was married to Walderada 555 Clotaire I., Theudebalds successor and great-uncle. From this it was but violated because the Church against marriage objected.

After that, the first known Bavarian Duke, the Agilolfinger Garibald I. took Walderada wife. With him she had four children: Tassilo I, Gundoald, Grimoald I. and Theodelinda.
