Walid Soliman (writer)
Walid Soliman (Arabic وليد سليمان ) ( born April 11, 1975 in Tunis ) is a Tunisian writer and interpreter.
Training
He studied in " Sadikia " ( the first modern school in Tunisia, founded in 1875 ). After studying English language and literature, he has attained a degree in translation and linguistic university Tunis.
Translations into Arabic
Walid Soliman is a recognized personality of the modern Tunisian literature. A prominent position in the Tunisian culture he could reach into Arabic of several famous works (including Jorge Luis Borges, Charles Baudelaire, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, André Breton, Mario Vargas Llosa ) with his translations.
Translations into French and English
Besides his translations into Arabic Walid Soliman has several Tunisian and Arab poets translated into French and English. Currently he is preparing a " anthology Poèsie et de la Tunisienne " before ( in French).
Offices
Walid Soliman was president of the ATPCC ( Tunisian Association of Film Critics ) and published in magazines several cultural products. He also leads the magazine online DEDALUS he founded.
