Walker Lake (Northwest Arctic, Alaska)

The Walker Lake is a lake in the Endicott Mountains, a mountain range of the Brooks Range, in northwestern Alaska. The lake is located in the south of the Gates -of -the- Arctic National Park in the headwaters of the Kobuk River.

1968, the lake was designated as a National Natural Landmark. The Walker Lake is an example of the interplay of geological and biological influences in a lake fed by glaciers at the transition zone of boreal to tundra.

The lake is at 207 m height.
