Walter Borck

Walter Borck ( born May 1, 1891 in Munich, † January 5, 1949 ) was a German national football team.

Hailing from the North Borck, who studied medicine in Munich, was already noticed in Hamburg as a 16- year-old goalie in the league team HSV Hamburg FC precursor 88. As a student he performed at the MTV 1879 Munich. Surprisingly, he was nominated for the Munich held on December 17, 1911 friendly against Hungary, although Adolf Werner was considered a first-choice goalkeeper for the German team. Presumably, the nomination was made, however, because of the home advantage, as it should be played on the course of MTV. Even the goalkeeper had been able to convince the final of the Crown Prince Cup, as had been considered a much stronger North selection could win after extra time. However Borck could not prevent the 1:4 defeat to Hungary, especially Imre Schlosser played outstanding. It remained the only international game of the future physician. After completing his studies, Dr. Borck returned to northern Germany. He stood near Schwerin 03 and from 1919/20, again at Hamburger SV in the gate. Temporarily he should also have been at Duisburg SV.
