Walter Dürst

Walter Paul " Watschga » thirsty ( born February 28, 1927) is a former Swiss ice hockey player. His brother was also a hockey player.

Career

Walter thirsty participated in the Winter Olympics 1948 in St. Moritz and in Oslo in 1952 for the Swiss national team. At the Winter Games in 1948 he won the bronze medal with his team. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1950 and 1951, where he also won the bronze medal each. As the best European team Switzerland became European champion in 1950. At club level he played for HC Davos.

When he attended a master class at the School Schlosstal in Winterthur in 1948, he played for a short time for the EHC Veltheim, the HC Davos this Veltheim even what paid, so that he could play there.
