Walter Eckhardt

Walter Eckhardt ( born March 23, 1906 in Bad Homburg, † 1 January 1994 Feldafing ) was a German politician (GB / BHE, CSU ).

Life and career

Eckhardt, of the Protestant faith, was entered in 1932, the Reich Finance Administration and was from 1938 to 1944 Ministerial in the imperial treasury. After military service and captivity he came in 1948 to Bavaria and in 1950 began working in Munich as an attorney and tax advisor.

Since 1925 he was a member of the Corps Teutonia Marburg.

Party

1933, he joined as a council of the NSDAP (member number 2393809 ).

Eckhardt was 1949/50, the Bavarian State Chairman and Federal President of the German Union. He was a member from 1950 to the GB / BHE, he left with the " KO - group " by Waldemar force and Theodor Oberlander on July 12, 1955. On 20 March 1956 he joined the CSU.

Member of Parliament

Eckhardt was from 1950 to 1954 Member of the Bavarian Landtag. From 1953, of 27 December 1957, when he nachrückte till the elections in 1957 for Otto Freiherr von Feury until 1961 and again on July 21, 1964, when he nachrückte for his deceased party colleague Josef Lermer until 1969 he was a member of the German Bundestag. Originally selected for the GB / BHE, he left the group with the " one-two group " on July 12, 1955. On 15 July 1955 he was a guest of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, whose member he candidature at its became the CSU on March 20, 1956.

Until his faction change, he was Deputy Chairman of the GB / BHE Group.

From 1 July 1954 to 1 July 1956, he was also a member of the European Parliament.
