Walter Kaskel

Walter Kaskel ( born February 2, 1882 in Berlin, † October 9, 1928 ) was a German lawyer and university professor.

Kaskel was born the son of a Jewish banker and trade judge. After studying law at the universities of Berlin, Munich and Freiburg im Breisgau Walter Kaskel worked at the local courts in love Walde and Berlin-Mitte and received his doctorate in 1911 at the University of Berlin with a dissertation on " Pardon the honorable court proceedings of the free professions ". After years of scientific work in the Reich Insurance Office was made in 1913 his habilitation at the University of Berlin. 1920 Kaskel was appointed scheduled associate professor of labor law at the Friedrich -Wilhelms -Universität zu Berlin. In 1921 Kaskel was next to Dr. Hermann Dersch, Dr. Friedrich Sitzler and Dr. Friedrich Syrup of the founders of the New Journal of Labour. On October 9, 1928 Walter Kaskel died in Berlin at the age of 46 years. Kaskel is regarded as the founders of modern labor law in Germany.

Honor

In Berlin -Lichtenberg, a street was named after him.
