Walter Loosli

Walter Loosli ( born July 29, 1932 in Sonvilier in the district of La Chaux- d'Abel ) is a Swiss sculptor and designer of stained glass windows.

Loosli trained as a primary school teacher and special educators in Bern. He then completed a training at the School of Applied Arts Bern. He learned drawing by Hans Schwarzenbach and Max von Mühlenen. The sculpture he studied with Salvatore Meli in Rome.

Since 1972, Loosli works as a freelance artist. Its main activity is the designing of rooms, especially churches.

Walter Loosli lives since 1954 in the town of Köniz where he also leads a gallery.
