Walter Oswald

Walter Oswald ( born October 8, 1955 in Gütersloh ) is a former German football player.

He began his career in 1973 at the DJK Gütersloh; In 1976 he moved to FC St. Pauli, two years later for VfL Bochum and remained loyal to the club until his retirement in late 1991. The midfielder played 387 times in the Bundesliga and scored 26 goals. In the second division he came to 110 games and 15 goals. His greatest success was reaching the Cup final of the DFB - Pokal 1987/88.

After his career he worked as a shipping clerk in Bochum.
