Walter Risse

Walter cracks ( born December 2, 1893 in Dusseldorf, † June 16, 1969 ) was a German football player and coach.

The defender was as uncompromising and strong in the air.

Career

He began his career at SC 99 Dusseldorf. In 1923 he also played five times for the German national football team, but also moved to Hamburger SV, with whom he played until 1928 only 3 matches in time, but at club level was more successful.

In the final of the German Cup Hamburg 1924, however, the first FC Nuremberg documents in Berlin 2-0. One year later, was already completed in the second round for the Hamburg battle for the championship. It was defeated by eventual finalists FSV Frankfurt 1:2 after extra time. In the season 1925/26, was then only in the semi-final against Hertha BSC end, when they lost 4-2. After it had not worked out in 1927, succeeded the hamburgers in 1928 finally the championship ( after 1923 the second ) to get on the Elbe.

The secure defense for any cracks, Albert Beier and goalkeeper William Blunk contributed decisively.
