Walter Ulbrich

Walter Ulbrich (born 15 June 1910 in Metz, † 13 November 1991 Unterpfaffenhofen ) was a German television and film producer, often at the same time was also responsible for screenplay, adaptation, idea, fabric, cut and line producer.

Life

Ulbrich studied archeology, art history and German and learned at UFA, the film crafts

Called Ulbrich, also "the father of Advent four-part series ," was first script writers, including Helmut Käutner film " Under the Bridges ", and therefore created some movies of the postwar period, as well as Wolfgang Staudtes film Bernd Rose with Maria Schell in the lead role.

Beginning of the 1960s came Walter Ulbrich on the idea through the medium of television to implement world literature. And not in one piece, but in subsequent four parts with a length of about ninety minutes so as to make the material available to the public in full bandwidth. This type of production allowed an unchallanged faithfulness.

With Ulbrich as producers and screenwriters came to television classics such as " Robinson Crusoe ," "Treasure Island ," " The Sea Wolf ", " The Leatherstocking Tales " or " The Adventures of David Balfour ".
