Walther Eidlitz

Walther Eidlitz ( born August 28, 1892 in Vienna, † August 28 1976 in Vaxholm in Sweden) was an Austrian writer in the field of poetry, narrative and drama. Later he devoted himself to the study of the intellectual history of India.

In view of his interest in Indian religion and philosophy, he left his family in Vienna and traveled to India, where he lived from 1938 to 1946 and from 1950 to 1951 in search of God. As an Austrian, he was interned during the Second World War in India. 1946 moved Eidlitz to Sweden, where he died.
