Wangen-Brüttisellen
Wangen-Brüttisellen is a municipality in the district of Uster in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. Until 1976 the church officially cheeks ( ZH) was called.
Geography
Cheeks is located in the Glatt valley in the northern part of the district the sample. While the district Brüttisellen practically grown together complete with Zurich's industrial suburbs Dietlikon and Wallisellenstrasse where particularly large shopping centers alternate with modern housing developments, cheeks has largely maintained its rural- rural character with its half-timbered buildings.
History
A grave mounds from the Hallstatt period ( 800-500 BC), the Wieslistein in cheeks and Roman finds in the area Linde Buck at Brüttisellen evidence of early settlement of the area.
1192 Wangen was donated by the Toggenburgern to the Knights of St. John Bubikon to its foundation. From 1534 to 1541 the reformer Ulrich Bolt was a pastor in cheeks. In 1618 was sold to Zurich cheeks and the lower courts went to the bailiff of Kyburg.
The two parts cheeks and Brüttisellen ( 689 955 / 25331047.4244444444448.6308333333333 ) form a municipality since 1831.
