Geography

The creek originates in the Dortmund district Syburg along Route 704 at an altitude of 229 m above sea level. NN. From here the tub creek initially flows in a northeasterly direction over the nature reserve Furstenberg wood and Wannebachtal north to Syburg and beech wood. After passing under the motorway 45, the Bach used in a wide arc to the south-southeast. He flows south past the Dortmund- Lumber and crosses under the Federal Highway 1 At the same time leaves the creek, the city of Dortmund direction sword, and there forms to the mouth of the Ruhr district, the border between West and Mayrhofen Wandhofen.

The stream now flows primarily in südsüdöstliche directions. Northeast of Westhofen the nature reserve Wannebachtal flows through that stream leaves again in the south to the crossing under the railway Hagen Hamm. After another 200 m flow path of the creek crosses under the A45 again and flows past the Rettelmühle. After crossing under the L673 the tub stream flows past the house Ruhr and ends on the right side in the Ruhr. The mouth is located about 1.2 km southeast of West Mayrhofen at an altitude of 101 m above sea level. NN. The creek drains a 16.394 km ² large catchment area over the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea. With a height difference of 128 m, the average bed slope is 14.7 ‰.
