War for the Overworld

War for the Overworld is itself under development real-time strategy game for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, which is developed by Subterranean games. The game is mainly inspired by Dungeon Keeper, but there were also Overlord, Evil Genius and StarCraft referred to as role models. About a funding campaign on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, the games project received a wide audience publicity and media attention even before publication. It is currently in an early development version for sale purchase and playable, the final release is still pending.

Gameplay

In the game, players take on the so-called "Under Lord " the role of a ruler of a subterranean realm ( Dungeon ). Primary responsibility is to the dungeon to develop and expand in order to defeat traps and creatures hostile heroes. The player typically starts with a barely or non-upgraded room and gears system and has the task, the structure and the structure of the dungeon design itself. History of development

Concept and financing

Subterranean Games was founded mainly by Dungeon Keeper fans from the modding community to 3 still conceptualized by Bullfrog Productions, but never realized Dungeon Keeper: create War for the Overworld. On November 29, 2012 Subterranean Games launched a Kickstarter campaign for War for the Overworld with the aim to collect 2013 150,000 British pounds, to January 3. For every 75,000 pounds of additional capital the developer of a twelve standing for election " Flex Goals" promised to implement. This extension targets included additional game content, Mehrspielerr modes as well as a dungeon crawler mode in which the player can interact as a hero in the scenarios.
