Ward Lernout

Ward Lernout ( May 3, 1931 in Geluwe, Wervik, West Flanders) is a Belgian painter.

Biography

Ward Lernout received his artistic training at the Municipal Academy Menen ( painter F. WALLECAN and E. Van Overberghe ). He spent some time in Africa, since 1964 he has lived in Tervuren. Professionally, he worked until 1990 in the areas of marketing and the press. Since 1970 there are annual exhibitions of his works.

From 1959 to 1978, inter alia, Mbandaka ( Congo), Wezembeek -Oppem, Brussels, Diest, Mechelen. With his brother and painter Mon Camelbeke: Kortrijk, Waregem, Sint- Niklaas, Brussels.

Selection

2001 - Selected for the exhibition "Under the Sign of the plane and the sky ," of the " European artists 'colonies ' organized in Nuremberg. 1999 - Recorded in the album " Lithographieen of 10 contemporary Flemish artists " ( FLEMISH ART, Brussels).
