Wardy Alfaro

Wardy Alfaro Pizarro ( born December 31, 1977 in Montecillos, Alajuela ) is a Costa Rican football goalkeeper.

Alfaro sat as long keeper on the bench, the first division club AD Santos, where he even was not used as a substitute goalkeeper and the CS Cartaginés where he nevertheless celebrated its Erstligadebüt 2002. In 2004 he moved to the top club LD Alajuelense, where he was listed as number 3. But as the number 1, Álvaro Mesén adopted for CS Herediano, he sat by as the new goalkeeper.

2005/ 06 he played a sovereign season and was Costa Rican Vice-Champion. Then coach Alexandre Guimaraes appointed him in the banns of Costa Rica for the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany as third goalkeeper behind José Porras and Álvaro Mesén.
