Warren Miller (director)
Warren Miller ( * October 15, 1924 in Hollywood, California ) is a producer of ski and snowboard films.
Biography
His hobbies as a young man included skiing, surfing and photography. After his military service in World War 2, he bought his first film camera and began working as a ski instructor in various ski resorts in the United States. The combination of his interests meant that he has made more than 750 ski movies today.
Nowadays he produces each year a film that goes to the beginning of winter on a world tour, in the following countries: USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The film shows are in addition to the film often also a program with raffles and surprises. In some cases some of the star athletes from the Warren Miller films are live at the events on the ground.
