Warrenton is a town with 2013 inhabitants ( 2000) in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is located in Warren County and is its administrative headquarters.

Geography

Warrenton is located northwest in Warren County. The nearby towns are Norwood, Norris and Thomson. The nearest major town, Augusta, is located about 71 kilometers to the east, the capital of Georgia, Atlanta, about 196 kilometers to the west. The city covers an area of ​​4.9 km ².

In 2000, there were 2013 people in the city, of which 49.1 % men and 50.9 % women. Compared to the 1990 census, the population has declined by 8.3 %. History
