Warsaw Financial Center

The Warsaw Financial Center is a late 1990s built office building in Warsaw and one of the tallest buildings in the city. At the time of the WFC was the tallest reinforced concrete building in Poland.

History

The high-rise is located in the downtown district to the Ulica Emilii Plater 53, Ulica Świętokrzyska crosses here. In the immediate vicinity there are two more high-rise buildings, the Hotel Intercontinental and the office building Rondo 1 Construction work began in 1997, and was completed in 1998. Investor was the firm of Golub & Company. Has been configured, the building of the U.S. architectural firm A. Epstein & Sons International and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, who worked with local architects. The building design was PORR International AG. The 2.3 -tonne mast was mounted on 13 October 1998 with the help of a Mi -8 helicopter on the north side of the building. The WFC was one of the first Class A office buildings that were offered in Warsaw.

In 2005, the CA Immo and Pramerica Real Estate Investors bought 50 % of the object. In August 2012, the object of a joint venture of Allianz Real Estate ( 87.5 %) and the Investment Fund Curzon Capital III of Tristan Capital Partners (12.5%) was acquired for 210 million euro.

The main tenant, who is represented as the only tenant with a logo on the facade ( on the top two floors), the Bank Austria Creditanstalt. Other tenants include, among others: CMS Cameron McKenna, DLA Piper, General Electric, Google, World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Rothschild Polska, Wyborowa SA, Boeing International Corporation, CEZ Polska, MasterCard, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the culture - and trade Office in Taipei, the Korean trade Centre and the Thai trade Office.

Equipment

The building consists of two components - a six-story base building, which harmonises in height with the post-war development of the area and a tower part, the rectangular plan is dominated in the upper floors by a worsening eastward arc. The facade is made of glass and aluminum, and blue-gray and black granite. The multi-story lobby is decorated in Art Deco style.

The height of the building without mast is 144 meters, spread over 32 floors. The mast has an additional height of 21 meters. There are around 50,000 m² of rental space available, one of which accounts for 93 % on office and 7% to retail, warehouse and restaurant use. In the 6 basements are 350 parking spaces. The property has 16 high-speed elevators and a 24-hour power outage generator.
