The Wartenberg ( 844.4 m above sea level. NHN ) is located within the boundaries of the city Geisingen in Tuttlingen district in Baden- Württemberg, Germany. He is since 1994 a protected area in Wartenberg.

Location

The Wartenberg lies immediately north of the Danube two kilometers west of the city in Geisingen belonging to the Swabian Alb natural space Baaralb, west joins directly to the Baar.

Geology

The Wartenberg is of volcanic origin and is considered the northernmost basaltic cone of Hegauvulkanismus. In his summit area basalt and basalt are pending.
