Wason RenterÃa
Wason Rentería Cuesta Libardo (born 4 July 1985 in Quibdó ) is a Colombian football player. He's been playing the 2010/11 season at FC Santos in Brazil under contract.
Career
Rentería started his career in his native Colombia to the Boyacá Chicó FC, with whom he made the promotion to the top Colombian league in the first year. Then he moved to Brazil and signed with SC Internacional, where was runner at first. In the following season, the team was again runner-up, but won the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup.
After these successes, he moved to Europe, signing with FC Porto, with whom he 2006/ 07, after he was executed changes in January, Portuguese champion. 2007/ 08 it was awarded to Racing Strasbourg to France, which had to dismount with space 19 from the Ligue 1. Then he returned to Portugal and played in the course of a loan contract with Sporting Braga, with whom he reached number five. After a quick stop at Atletico Mineiro in the fall of 2009, he returned in the spring of 2010 returned to Braga and was the second time the Portuguese champions. In 2010, he then returned to FC Porto for which he, however, no longer was used and therefore at FC Santos landed, for whom he debuted on October 1, 2011 game against Fluminense Rio de Janeiro when he was in the second half for Elano came on.
For Colombia Rentería has played more 17 matches and scored four goals. He participated in the Junior World Cup in 2005 in part in the Netherlands, where Colombia failed in the second round to Argentina. His debut for Columbia gave the striker as part of the Gold Cup in 2005 when he played through in the group stage against Panama and received a yellow card. Colombia was eliminated in the semifinal against Panama. Rentería was used in all five games of Colombia.
