Watampone, " the capital of the Bone" in the Bugis language ( colloquially referred to as a bone ), is a town in the Indonesian province of South Sulawesi. It is the capital of the district of Bone. The city has a population of over 80,000 inhabitants. It is the birthplace of the Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla.

Watampone was the capital of the kingdom of Bone.
