Water block
Water coolers are a subspecies of the heat exchanger and are found in more varied forms in many application fields of technology, examples:
The picture shows such a CPU water cooling unit. The central element is the metal block, sitting with a thermal paste on the CPU. The material in this case is an excellent heat conductivity copper, with a meandering milling for the water channel, with a groove for the circumferential O- ring for sealing. Further, the acrylic cover with the connections for the hoses for water supply and discharge, and with the brackets for mounting the unit on the motherboard.
