Watercolour (song)

Watercoulour is a song from her album Electronica-/Synth-Rock-Band Pendulum Immersion. It is a production of Gareth McGrillen and Rob Swire, who also wrote the song and composed. On April 30, 2010 Watercoulor was released for sale as the first single from the album. Use in the media is the song including in the soundtracks of the games Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and F1 2010.

Music Video

The music video was directed by Barney Steel and Michael Sharpe within two and a half weeks. Recording were the Three Mills Studios in East End, London. Barney Steel explained that massive rain and wind machines were used for the shoot and they were still installed with an " apocalyptic scene " at the end. The video was then published for the first time on April 1, 2010 on YouTube. In August 2012, it had over 17 million views, making it the most watched video on the official channel Pendulums.

Reception

Criticism

The song was evaluated in different ways. It was found that Pendulum would go with the song again in the direction of the mainstream. Mayer Nissim of Digital Spy awarded three stars and said that they could listen to the track perfectly, while Fraser McAlpine awarded by the BBC, only two out of five stars.

Charts

The song was the only top 10 single Pendulums in the UK. It rose on May 15, 2010 ranked in fourth place standing at July 3, 2010, however, already at number 63 in the following week, you fell out of the Top 75, on 31 July could celebrate a re-entry at 70 Playground. In the next week we dropped to 74, which was the last stop in the British Top 75. In New Zealand and Australia could each reach number 37, in New Zealand it was one in Australia two weeks in the charts.
