Waylon Payne

Waylon Malloy Payne ( born April 5, 1972) is an American country singer and actor.

Life

Childhood and youth

Waylon Payne is the son of country singer Sammi Smith and guitarist Jody Payne, Willie Nelson playing in backing. Since then, Payne was four years old, his mother took him with her on her tours, in winter he lived with his aunt and uncle in Dallas.

Career

He had already collected together with his mother first stage experiences. After that he appeared in Los Angeles in various clubs. He played several classic country music, especially the title of his idols Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and George Jones, but even then current title as that of Dwight Yoakam. Through the mediation of Willie Nelson Payne received a recording contract with Republic / Universal. In 2004, he released his first album, The Drifter. Even as an actor Payne is active.
