Webuye

Webuye is an industrial city in the province of Western Kenya. Webuye Bungoma District is located in the A 104 through Webuye flows of the Nzoia, outside Webuye are the Broderick Falls, which used its name to the city.

Industry

In Webuye enterprises of the chemical industry and sugar factories are located. The largest employer was opened in 1970, the Pan African Paper Mills, which employed 2,000 people. In February 2009, the factory was closed, Webuye loses since increasing population, the crime rate increases.

Infrastructure

In addition to some schools the Kenya Medical Training College is located since 2005 in Webuye. In addition to the Webuye District Hospital is still a health center. The Diocese of Bungoma the Roman Catholic Church maintains in Webuye a school for the deaf, St. Anthony's School.
