Wei Ning

Wei Ning (Chinese魏 宁, Pinyin Wei Ning; * August 5, 1982 in Shandong) is a Chinese sports shooter in the discipline of skeet shooting.

Wei Ning lives in Jinan. In 2003, she won the gold medal at the World Championships in Nicosia. A year later, Wei reached the final of the skeet competition at the Athens Olympics, where she won behind the Hungarian Diana Igaly the silver medal. In addition, she won the World Cup finals in Maribor. In the 2005 World Cup in Lonato she reached the finals again, missed in fourth but just a medal. In Changwon the Chinese also won first ISSF World Cup one, two more victories followed until 2008. 2007 World Cup was again held in Nicosia. Wei won the silver medal here. The Asian championship of the year in Kuwait City, she finished in fifth place. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the Chinese reached as Fifth Place qualifying the final of the top six and finished sixth. At the 2010 World Championships in Munich, she won the silver medal. The year before, they had also won their sixth win in Munich at a ISSF World Cup tournament and it equaled the world record of 74 goals in the qualifiers.

Successful Wei Ning was also several times in the context of World Military Championships. 2002 in Lahti and 2007 in Nicosia, she won the title in 2001 in Cairo, the silver medal.
