Wei River

The Wei He (Pinyin: Wei He ) or Weihe River (Chinese渭河, W.-G. Wei Ho) or Wei Shui ( Pinyin: Wei Shuǐ ) (渭水) is the largest tributary of the Yellow River ( Huang He ,黄河/ 黄河).

Geography

The Wei He flows through the provinces of Gansu and Shaanxi.

On its bank is the old imperial city of Xi'an (西安).
