Weinek (crater)

Weinek is an impact crater in the east of the Moon front, south of the Mare Nectaris, northeast of the crater Piccolomini and northwest of Neander. The rim is moderately eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Austro -Hungarian astronomers Ladislaus Weinek.
